Anybody ever been to Baltimore?

What was a job opening applied for on a hunch has become the need for a quick trip to Baltimore. I’ve never been there—I’ve never even been halfway there—so if anybody’s familiar with traveling the southeast I’d love some suggestions. Lemme hear your suggestions for where to stay while I’m in town and anything I’ll need to know about getting around.
P.S. I don’t know anybody there, do I?
