Happy Birthday to Me

Last week, I found out that our office would be closed on Monday for Memorial Day. Immediately, things started running through my mind. I wanted to make a trip back home to go to my cousin Margaret’s wedding, but with flights topping $300 each way over the holiday weekend, there was no way I could afford to go.
Then I realized, Tybee. My old pal Ashley had told me that he and his girlfriend Megan were going to be staying on Tybee for the weekend and that I was welcome to come. I emailed them to see if the invitation still stood, and was thrilled to find out that I’d be visiting my old island home for my birthday weekend.
The trip to Tybee was fantastic. It was wonderful to see all my old friends, and we had a blast at our old stomping grounds, Huc-a-Poos Bites and Booze. I could write plenty more, but I’ll let the photos tell the rest of the story, and just say thanks to all my friends on Tybee for making my 25th one of the best ever.

Well thank you, Alli—I’m glad to know I’ve still got some dedicated family. I was pretty much expecting to be officially excommunicated after not showing up for a major family event. The horror!
