Men Receive Public Lashing for Sodomy in Saudi Arabia
TWO men in Saudi Arabia have been sentenced to 7000 lashes each after being convicted of sodomy and have received their first round of punishment in public, a newspaper said today… They were then returned to prison where they are to be held until the full punishment is completed, the newspaper added, without saying how many sessions this would involve. Homosexual acts are illegal in Saudi Arabia, which metes out strict punishment based on sharia, or Islamic law.
That is Saudi Arabia, our partners in peace.

isn’t death meted out in some other countries? not sayin’ lashing is acceptable, just sayin’...
Last week on Folsom Street people were playing good money to get publicly lashed.
They get publicly lashed for free?
Lucky Dogs!
I couldn’t imagine how many sessions of lashing would be required to complete this brutal punishment without killing them in the process.
This has nothing to do with the current post, I just wanted to let you know that your site’s description or should i say quote under the title, is classic.
@Johnny Dollar
Yes, death penalty is generally metered out in countries where notions of individual rights are weak. China being the prime example of this, it is somewhat a mystery that the death penalty is carried out in the US.
The lashes will be given at a rate of 50 every two weeks. So they will lashed for more than two and a half years! Each session will result in bleeding.
