She’s a Go
December 20, 2005
Over the past nine months, I’ve been lucky enough to have an amazing learning opportunity at Silverpoint working alongside some incredibly talented people. While my role is primarily that of a designer, I had the opportunity to both design and produce a site for The John Carroll School, a local Catholic high school. It was a trial-by-fire experience that has drastly improved my coding process. While some of the people I work with are probably ready for me to stop bugging them and go back to designing, I really enjoyed the process, and I’m thrilled with how it turned out.

It’s down?
Yeah… go figure, the server goes down as soon as people start looking at it. IT gnomes are hard at work…
Hm, I can’t work the dropdown menus in Firefox (Mac, v.1.0.1). Looks very nice, though.
Yep, the dropdowns suffer from a problem in Firefox 1.0 for Mac and Safari. They work, but the Flash implementation in those browsers interferes with layers appearing over them.
Usually, we just disable the dropdowns entirely for Mac browsers, but now that Firefox 1.5 for Mac supports them, and does so beautifully, I’ve decided to leave them up. Get 1.5! It’s good stuff. :)
Pretty spiffy. I will have to let my wife know (she went there). And thanks to you, I discovered there was another high school water polo team in the area; I thought I knew all of them.
Sweet!
i wish i had some cool blogger-computer jargon to put here. i like it. aren’t you coming into alabama soon?
Dude, seriously nice. I just spent way too much time just admiring the dropdowns. ;)
Don’t know if you noticed, but I featured that site on Stylegala. :-)
I sure did. I appreciated it, particularly the fact that you noticed and noted the inspiration for the design. Very cool!
