Hey Matt,

Really like the new design. Seems as though you are topping the work you did at SilverPoint, which in my opinion already was top-notch. Do you have some links to other sites you've done since we worked together there?

Take care!

Update on the problem inserting links and images using the WP 2.5 Admin Dashboard WYSIWIG editor (in Firefox 2.0.0.13):

I downloaded the Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta 4 browser and it took care of this issue - now able to insert links, images, and embed media - fantastic (oh and this browser looks just ROCKIN too already....). Good job WP team...

Hey Matt, I just wanted to write and say thanks for the hard work. I've been looking forward to WordPress 2.5 ever since I heard it would be a redesign. It looks sharp and so does the new WordPress.org.

I can't wait to see what you guys have in store next.

I'm very new to WordPress, so I have a great deal to learn. However, it does look very interesting and I would like to start blogging my own things. I'm into real estate right now very heavily and might set up something on that. I also raise Boxer puppies, so I think I would like to start something on Boxers and collect and gather information on them and also share information that I have as well.

Thank you for all the links in your site to help learn more about WordPress.

Hi Matt, first of all I want to say thanks so much to all the people (like am I correct to assume yourself?) who have put so much work into the great WordPress project. Already though, as I have stated in the Word Press Support Forums, I have encountered some pretty big issues with WP 2.5. These really concern me already because I was almost ready to decide to make my whole site a blog-based one, using WordPress, and now I have to re-consider.

Anyway, I don't want to sound "whiney" at all, but I just wanted to see how to fix these issues, and also help if I can by being a part of the developer community in reporting these issues.

The main issues I seem to be having (so far_ are centered around the WYSIWIG - especially with inserting links (pop-up window appears blank when I highlight text in post editor to try to 'Insert a Link').

Also, I believe you had said that the WYSIWIG editor "would not mess with the text" of a post upon editing (like indeed at times it did with previous versions, especially messing up line spacing). Well this time it is also messing up line spacing and font size after I go from 'HTML' to 'Visual' mode in the post editing window.

MY POST HERE ON THE WP SUPPORT FORUM:
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/164297
("WP 2.5 - WYSIWIG Problem")

Any help you can provide would be most appreciated. (User sacredpath has pointed out the conjecture that maybe the browser could be affecting this? I am currently using Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.13. (Interestingly enough I noticed that the missing white body background for tables in the new version on 2.5 in FF is back when I checked it in IE 7).

Thank you very much,

Kevin Pajak - Webmaster, jpopexpress.com
